The March to Close all Slaughterhouses
Thousand of people through the world gathered to claim the abolition of slavery of all the animals.
The 4th Edition taked place on June in France, USA, Australia, Turkey, Belgium, Canada, Germany, United-Kingdom, Brazil and Switzerland.
France
In Paris
This march is organized by the organization L214.
In Paris, the march took place on June 13th. At the same time, a Vegan Place was organized. At the same time, a Vegan Place was organized. Before the departure of the march, a text was read to repeat the reasons behind the demonstration.
Around 2000 people turned out to put an end to the massacre of animals in abattoirs and by fishing, for a fairer future for all animals.
For this event, buses were organized from Rennes, Lille, Strasbourg and Lyon.
In Toulouse
For the 4th year in a row, 300 people walked silently on June 6th through Toulouse to show their support for the end of slaughterhouses, places of suffering, terror, and despair, and to denounce speciesism in society.
The march started with a harrowing happening in front of the former town slaughterhouse : three naked people, bodies cumpled and covered in blood lay on the ground as a speech was given and a banner displayed.
Canada
In Montréal
The attendance of the march was 400 people, more than the previous year. Georges Laraque, a vegan top athlete, and David Desrosier, Simple Plan bassist carried the banner.
The band Simple Plan promoted our march and covered the event on their blog.
The Canadian Press wrote an article which was shared by most of the Montreal media : le Journal de Montréal, Le Devoir, Radio Canada, Huffington Post, FM 1069.
This march was organized by the organization KARA.
